Asus Announces ZenBook 3 and Transformer 3/3 Pro Laptops

If the ZenBook 3 was Asus' shot at Apple's MacBook, their new Transformer 2-in-1s are definitely shots at Microsoft's Surface and Surface Pro. The company today introduced the Transformer 3 Pro, the Transformer 3 and the Transformer Mini at the event. The 12.6 inch device provides 2880×1920 resolution at 275ppi pixel density and gamut a of 121% sRGB colour space. In this case, ASUS tried to re-visualize the concept by simply embedding the best of the best technologies inside it. The Zenbook 3 features Intel core i7 processor with the ultimatum set at a hiked frequency 3.1 GHz clipped with 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, a lightning fast 1TB PCIe Gen 3 SSD and a contemporary USB-C port. Everything in place with all geared up features so that it could go on working to achieve a premium objective. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera plus a front-facing one as well.

The lesser Transformer 3 is phenomenally thin and light at 6.9mm and 695 grams - for that thinner profile, it loses the kickstand and instead uses a folding leatherette Transformer Sleeve keyboard cover to lean back on a couple of different angles.

Here are 5 cool features of the newly launched Asus Transformer and the Asus Transformer Pro 4. The Transformer 3 features a 7th generation Intel Core processor plus up to 512GB SSD and up to 8GB of RAM. Prices start at $799 for the Transformer 3 and $999 for the Transformer 3 Pro. It comes with full-size USB 3.0 and HDMI ports as well as Thunderbolt 3 connectivity for superfast data transfers of up to 40Gbps with support for dual external 4K UHD displays.

Asus Transformer 3 Pro is expandable with a range of accessories that extend its functionality and performance, giving users a new level of flexibility and convenience from a mobile device.

The Transformer 3 has a USB Type-C connector and a built-in fingerprint reader and Windows Hello support.

The form factor of Asus Trasformer 3 Pro closely resembles that of the Surface Pro series.

So like its more expensive Pro sibling, Asus' Transformer 3 borrows a lot from existing 2-in-1s while also taking the time to improve on a number of their finer points. Asus Transformer 3 also includes a 13MP camera for capturing high-resolution photos and videos. ROG XG Station 2 is an external graphics card dock that gives ASUS Transformer 3 Pro desktop-grade graphics performance, turning it into a VR-ready gaming powerhouse.

Both tablets are available in Icicle Gold as well as Glacier Gray.

Another big win for the Transformer 3 is its keyboard.
