Facebook app for Windows 10 rolled out officially

Several reports suggest that Facebook itself developed the app, unlike the previous version, which was developed by Microsoft.

The app will be available for all modes of devices like PC, tablet or a hand-held smartphone, which runs on Windows 10 operating system.

Interestingly enough, Facebook's current app for Windows 10 smartphones include Facebook branding, application programming interface (API) and design cues.

The significant move is that new Facebook app now in beta is being developed and published by Facebook.

"You can now export documents, spreadsheets, and presentations to the OpenDocument Spreadsheet (.ods), OpenDocument Text (.odt), and OpenDocument Presentations (.odp) formats", Microsoft explains. However, Windows doesn't have that sort of feature and it seems that people at Microsoft are working on bringing it to Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.
