Patriots' Tom Brady doesn't believe Super Bowl LI was his best game

Phrases like "greatest game ever" and "best performance of Brady's career" have been thrown around.

"I don't really think that is necessarily the case", Brady said.

The Patriots' improbable Super Bowl LI victory was arguably one of the greatest comebacks in National Football League history, and quarterback Tom Brady played an integral part in how the game unfolded. The Patriots under Belichick and Brady have quelled in almost every bracket of defense and offense, building the team's 53-man roster purely through the draft, inking free agents to high risk/high reward contracts and watchful salary cap management, which stems the question as to whether the organization has been completely honest in its glorious run. The rookie was huge down the stretch, catching 6 passes for 70 yards in the comeback.

"I felt like I just go out there and do my job", Brady told King. The same goes for Chris Long, who took a while to really get comfortable in this defense but got stronger as the year went on and proved to be a smart pick-up before the season. I hope they'll kindle a little optimism in your heart, because the next few months are going to be awfully tough to get through without it. And everybody had confidence to have Malcolm in those spots if he got it. "That's what that play came down to".

The second was the role that Josh McDaniels played.

To make matters even worse, the Patriots are not only filing for a new trademark, but it's probably one of the worst they've attempted to trademark yet.

Who could fathom a 2-14 season under Belichick and Brady like the Patriots of 1981 under coach Ron Erhardt and quarterback Steve Grogan, or the nine consecutive sub-.500 finishes from 1967-1975? Success tends to result in big paydays since other teams want a taste of what each of these players just accomplished, and it will likely make things interesting in the coming months.

It wasn't as smooth in practice.

Dan Koppen was the center for Faulk's heroics in Super Bowl XXXVIII, while David Andrews executed it to perfection for White in Super Bowl LI. It was a pure anticipation throw: Brady knew where Hogan was going to be, and as he made the cut he gained a bit of separation from the defender. "So the ball is laying on the ground, rolling around on a two-point play, on a direct snap when it is supposed to be right in James" breadbasket. After a run was stuffed, the Falcons dialed up a pass - and you know the rest. And that was it. They converted the take away into a touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion.

The Patriots have reached the AFC Championship game in six consecutive seasons and 11 times in Belichick and Brady's tenure.

"There were still a lot of calls on the call sheet that we liked, based on the style that they were playing", Brady said.
