Grammys' Best New Artist Coming to San Diego

Grammys' Best New Artist Coming to San Diego

Beating Kanye West's "The Life of Pablo" and Drake's "Views" in the same category, Chance the Rapper officially established a new age in Rap and music industry in itself by winning the award without selling a single copy of his album. It's the rapper's first Grammy win, which is a huge accomplishment, but it's also a historic win for the Grammys as an award show.

Fresh off the heels of his big Grammy wins comes the news that Chance the Rapper is heading to Colorado.

His ebullient reaction to the wins during the show on Sunday night had to further endear him to his core of fans, and likely created an additional pool.

"Glory be to God".

Coloring Book was a streaming-only release, which meant the very fact that it was nominated at all was historic in it's own right.

"I didn't think that we were going to get this one", he admits.

Chance the Rapper's following, from both fans and labels, has been growing since the release of his first mixtape, 10 Day, in 2012. Five of the 14 tracks of The Coloring Book have deeply religious themes and sample Christian contemporary artists like Chris Tomlin, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin and Byron Cage. Once, for "Best Rap Song", and another for "Best Rap Performance". The Chicago Bulls also acknowledged Chance's acclaim.

Last month, the proud dad uploaded a series of Instagram posts featuring Kensli - including one that showed the little girl with then-President Barack and Michelle Obama.

The Chicago native, also known as Lil Chano off 79th, was nominated for seven Grammys and won three of them. "I am in Manchester having a drink for you, broski".

SoundCloud is a popular distribution channel for new and independent artists, and Chance the Rapper is likely the most popular artist on the platform. Pitchfork reports that Chance the Rapper had much to say in his "Best Rap Performance" Grammy speech, in disbelief that he had found himself standing in the winner's circle.
