Floyd Mayweather Jr Sending Out Mixed Messages About Conor McGregor Fight

Several hours have passed since either Conor McGregor or Floyd Mayweather Jr. have done something to generate headlines across the Internet so it was past time for a new development in the saga of the rumored mega-fight. I sleep people. I put people unconscious.

Mayweather has since responded to McGregor and revealed his interest in getting the fight details locked in.

According to BBC, McGregor flew to Las Vegas for some business that he said he needed to take care of, and via social media, the Irish mixed martial artist posted a photo of him sitting in a chair ready for Mayweather. And that's it. I was in NY when all of that was going down, the protests in NY with the Trump thing.

That was after his interview with GQ magazine in which he said Mayweather has a little head and he promised to knock him out.

"I'm stating facts. If I hit a man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers".

McGregor has essentially taken this year off from the UFC in anticipation of his first child being born, but a big money fight like this would be too tough for him to pass up, especially since he has called for it.

"If I crack that little head of his, it's gonna go clean off his shoulder and up into the bleachers".

'I'm going to go to Las Vegas, get my boxing license and then we see where the f*** Floyd's at, ' he told MMA broadcaster Ariel Helwani at a Q&A last week.

It's pretty clear that if McGregor manages to pull off the near-impossible and actually will a fight with Mayweather into existence, he'll have no problems convincing people that he's got a chance of winning. He has repeatedly said he would not fight again for any less than $100 million, but that may not be an issue much longer.

On his current dispute with UFC boss Dana White, McGregor - who has a four-fight contract - added: "I want to negotiate what I'm worth".

It seems Conor has some morbid curiosity about the first family of reality television, but unlike James Harden, 27, Tristan Thompson, 25, or any other of Khloe's athletic baes, he's really not an admirer.
