Goals galore as Bayern, Real dominate ECL

"Changing two players in the starting eleven and playing a more defensive game is not enough to stop Real Madrid's offensive fury". Just eight minutes in, Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik pushed the ball up past the midfield line, looking for Lorenzo Insigne between Real Madrid's central defenders.

Madrid promptly responded and should've equalised through Benzema, who was picked out by Ronaldo in Napoli's penalty area but - despite being directly in front of Reina's goal - couldn't guide his header on target.

It was a wonderful effort from the Italian global, but Casemiro, like his Madrid team, would not be outdone.

His goals in each of the games against AS Roma last season were crucial to keep Madrid on track for its 11th European title.

With Gareth Bale not fully fit and Karim Benzema still struggling, it will be Cristiano Ronaldo again carrying the load for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

This is an interesting match-up and could be one of the games of the round. Even after they went down early in the second half, Napoli didn't panic - they kept on like they always do and still stayed very much in the game.

To Napoli's credit, they kept their chins up and their chests puffed out as they hunted a route back into the game. The result? Two goals in the first ten minutes of the half to blow the match wide open.

Despite the eventual dominance that Madrid showed, Napoli can take heart in the fact that they are categorically still in the tie, with the Madrid defence clearly fearful of their frontline, and with Insigne having secured a crucial away goal for them. It is much more of a team effort at the Bernabeu these days and that will stand Los Blancos in good stead for another assault on the competition they love to think of as their own. "Wearing this shirt has been one of my dreams since many years ago and I want to carry on, giving my best for as long as possible".
