Pursuit ends in pickup truck flying through the air in Louisiana

When the driver got out of the vehicle, the 18-year-old passenger got into the driver's seat and took off.

CNN reports the truck lost control and went airborne, hitting a parked auto with a woman inside.

He led officers in a chase that ended when his truck hit some spike strips, swerved and then went airborne.

"I felt around to see if I was hurt and could tell that I was okay", Harlon told KSLA.

The only thing missing from the end of a wild police chase in Louisiana Tuesday was Bo and Luke Duke.

When the pickup truck landed, it fell onto a Toyota Corolla that had at least one person on board. What's even more incredible than see the truck fly through the air is that someone was inside the vehicle Austin landed on. "He was moving. I came here and saw the outcome of this and thank God he didn't kill nobody".

KTAL reports the chase suspect was wanted for abandoning his work release duties in mid-February.

Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton told the Huffington Post Austin tried to escape by grabbing another woman and running to an occupied vehicle, but was arrested.

"Austin was taken into custody and is facing more charges, according to KSLA-TV".
