Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a 'breathtaking masterpiece'

The verdict is a resounding affirmation: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild delivers. But I can't help but have overwhelming excitement for the Switch, especially after the insane awesome Zelda reviews. The game now sits at a staggering 98 on Metacritic without a single mixed or negative review. "But in an open world full of big changes, Breath of the Wild also nearly always feels like a Zelda game-and establishes itself as the first current, vital-feeling Zelda in nearly 20 years". It cleared the top-ranked Super Mario Galaxy, which has a score of 97.64%, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's 97.54%.

At GDC today, Nintendo's Satoru Takizawa, one of Breath of the Wild's designers, divulged some new information about some of the concepts that led up to the current game.

A day one patch for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out that allows players to see what DLC is now available for the game through a new menu option.
