'The Disney Afternoon Collection' Is Reviving Six Classic NES Games

These games were originally released on the NES and were based off hit Disney cartoons. Rewind cannot be used in Boss Rush or Time Attack modes.

• Darkwing Duck: Play as the original caped crusader and fight a city full of criminals from the infamous FOWL organization in this action platformer.

DuckTales - In this iconic platforming adventure, players help Scrooge McDuck fill his feathery pockets with vast riches from across the world.

TaleSpin - Take to the skies as Baloo the bear navigates his plane through exotic and unsafe locations in this side-scrolling shoot-em-up.

Capcom says that the games have been "beautifully restored" with support for 1080p HD visuals, as well as optional filters to make them look a touch more retro.

They do include new boss rush and time attack modes though, plus a self-explanatory rewind feature to ease in players not familiar with the originals or the punishing difficulty of video games of that era. As for the new modes, Boss Rush and Time Attack have been added for each game. If a part of the game trips you up, you can press the left trigger to briefly rewind backward and take another shot at that portion of the level. Capcom's NES version of DuckTales previously saw a remastered port for modern consoles and PCs, and The Disney Afternoon Collection will deliver an even bigger burst of nostalgia when it premieres in April. The collection will be out April 18th on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and will run you just $20. The compilation also offers a rewind feature, allowing players to undo their mistakes on the fly while keeping their progress intact.
