Chuck Berry Sales Explode By More Than 10000% Following His Death

Following Berry's death aged 90 earlier this month, his family have announced that they will unveil the album as a tribute to him. "I played drums behind a lot of guitar players and the one thing that they all have in common is that everybody know Chuck Berry songs", Lopez recalls. He will be missed by everyone who loves Rock 'n Roll.

So sad! Rock & roll pioneer Chuck Berry sadly passed away on March 18 and already we know what took the life of the 90-year-old music legend.

"Working to prepare the release of this record in recent months and in fact over the last several years brought Chuck a great sense of joy and satisfaction", the family said in a statement, posted to Berry's Facebook. "Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m".

Back in October of past year, however, when Berry was celebrating that 90th birthday, he had announced that he would be releasing one last album, simply titled Chuck, which would be his first proper studio release since 1979's Rock It. He lit up our teenage years, and blew life into our dreams of being musicians and performers. His lyrics shone above others & threw a unusual light on the American dream.

Originally released by Berry in 1958, "Johnny B. Goode" became a Top 10 hit on both the Billboard Hot R&B Sides chart (No. 2) and the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 8).

Most of Chuck Berry's long-lasting classics were written in the 50s. His influence on rock music - and, really, music in general - can be summed up by a quip from the late John Lennon: "If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'".
