Marvel Heroes Spinoff Announced For PS4

For those who don't know, Gazillion Entertainment is the company behind Marvel Heroes Online or Marvel Heroes 2016 as it was renamed after the 2016 rework. But soon you can bring the joy of being your favorite Marvel heroes into your home too.

Today it was announced that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Spring as Marvel Heroes Omega. And like any good game based on characters steeped in history and lore, you can expect to see famous sites from places like the dark corners of Hell's Kitchen, all the way up the Bifrost, to the magical streets of Asgard. Marvel Heroes Online is a free-to-play MMORPG that came out back in 2013. It's also worth noting that nothing has been announced as far as cross-platform play goes, and you won't be able to carry any progress made on the PC version over to the PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game. Headline characters include Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, while villains Loki and Doctor Doom will also make an appearance in the game's nine-chapter story campaign. But finishing the story is really just the beginning!

The developer has released a trailer for the game however.

Destructoid notes that the game won't be as up-to-date as the PC verison, but Gazillion is promising regular updates to help console users catch up. If you've been playing the game on PC you will not be able to transfer your character to the console versions of the game, which will also have less content that the PC version has at launch.
