Wenger happy as Bilic looks to restore confidence

"We are in the final sprint in the Premier League".

Arsenal returned to winning ways with a solid victory over West Ham as a fifth straight defeat plunged Slaven Bilic's visitors deeper into the fight for Premier League survival.

So is Bilic targeting revenge? "We have less possibilities to drop points".

After a quiet first half, Ozil, on his 150th appearance for the Gunners, fired home from the edge of the box after being gifted possession by Jose Fonte.

Defending champions Leicester had failed to win away from the King Power Stadium all season until they came to Stratford and scored twice inside seven minutes on their way to a 3-2 victory. You need one great win or three points to get it back. A player who has missed a chunk of games through illness and injury was finally able to show what he's all about. "But we have to try to do it again". Not a team of 11, a team of 60,000, plus 18 other players, staff, and many more.

The Chilean global netted a hat-trick, while German Ozil opened the scoring as Andy Carroll's 83rd-minute effort proved a mere consolation for the Hammers.

ARSENAL are facing West Ham tonight at the Emirates, but a number of fans chose to give it a miss. "We wanted to do it before this game against Swansea".

The gap could be shorter by the end of the week, with 18th placed Swansea visiting the London Stadium on Saturday.

"No one anticipated Liverpool to draw against Bournemouth, but this is the way it's and that's the reason we adore and luxuriate in playing in this league. It's a killer, but it's also a big warning for us". However, Bilic indicated that the medical staff told him Carroll was fine and should be available against Swansea.

Following the Champions League demolition job at the hands of Bayern Munich in February, when Arsenal collapsed to a 5-1 loss at the Allianz Arena, the 28-year-old's agent came out publicly to say that his client is being made a scapegoat.

"I don't think this is the first season when with eight, nine or 10 games to go they are out of the top four", said the boss.

"Of course we are in a relegation battle", said Bilic.

Slaven Bilic welcomed Michail Antonio back from injury, it was clearly a rushed decision as he looked exhausted from the off, and was well off the pace. "It is the best to be involved in".
