Overwatch Insurrection Event Leaked

Overwatch Insurrection Event Leaked

"Our new co-operative shock or discover the origins of some of your favourite heroes with more than 100 new objects for Overwatch: Insurrection including models, Entries, emotes, tags, etc". The trailer reveals what seems to be a new four-player, horde-style PvE gameplay mode for Overwatch, similar to last October's Halloween event, in addition to a variety of new character cosmetics, skins and sprays. Players have the option to only choose four heroes: Tracer, Reinhardt, Mercy or Torbjorn. Players will have to work together to fight against an army of omnic enemies that are, presumably, AI-controlled.

The video also shows a variety of new Blackwatch skins for McCree, Genji, Widowmaker, Mercy, Torbjorn, Bastion and Orisa. Blizzard's Jeff Kaplan has inferred that, whatever this turns out to be, it will take place within the game's backstory, rather than reflect a real-life holiday event. The events are usually quite popular with the Overwatch community, and add a bit of excitement for players that have been falling by the wayside while playing other titles.

Blizzard has been promising to make a huge announcement this week pertaining to a new event in Overwatch. The event is also introducing a new Survival-based game mode.

There has been a lot of speculation as to what the newest Overwatch event could be, but it turns out that players will get to experience an Omnic attack first hand.

The details and trailer leaked yesterday, but Overwatch's new mode is now both official and live across PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Overwatch's legions of fans are always hungry for another new mode, character or map, and Uprising looks like it will mix up the gameplay quite a bit.

Thankfully we've grabbed a screengrab of each of them to save you trying to stop and start the trailer over and over again (below).

There is still much that we do not know for sure about the Overwatch Insurrection update and seeing how the update is due very soon we should be able to find out soon enough. However, stay tuned for more, as they'll likely post it soon.
