Sega Hints 'Bayonetta' For PC; Why It's Not the Rumored 'Bayonetta 3'

"We developed Bayonetta 1 all by ourselves, and we optimized it for Xbox 360, which resulted in some issues when porting the game to other platforms", the spokesperson adds.

Sega has been slowly, but surely, building up their collection of PC games via ports and slight remasters, but Bayonetta can (hopefully) mark the beginning of prestige, niche titles making their way to Steam. Exclusive to Steam, players can now assume control of the game's eponymous shapeshifting, heel-firing witch in 60fps, unlocked resolutions in up to 4K ultra HD, and with optimised mouse and keyboard support.

Throughout the game, Bayonetta is on a mission to discover what went wrong and to fight for a better future.

The PC version of Bayonetta can be found on this Steam page for a price of $19.99. Based on comments from Sega, it sounds like the publisher isn't stopping with Bayonetta.

Sega has been on a streak of re-releasing console games like The Typing of the Dead and Valkyria Chronicles on PC in recent years. "Bayonetta is one of the most often requested PC conversions of our games, so finally being able to launch it on Steam is fantastic". This had fans believing that the first game will be remastered and ported onto PC. Revengeance was released on PC, and more recently since the debut of critically acclaimed NieR: Automata, this is a dream come true for many.

Should you prefer Japanese voice overs, that's available as well. Also, if you're a Bayonetta fan, don't forget to download 8-Bit Bayonetta, a cute and free pixel art shooter that offers a chiptune soundtrack that was released at the top of the month.
