Prey Demo Announced for PS4 and Xbox One on April 27

Details on the extent of gameplay that players will experience in the demo were not forthcoming, but the weapons and abilities of protagonist Morgan Yu should be relatively constrained when compared against some of the footage that the developers have previously released.

In Prey, you find yourself aboard a space station, hunted by aliens, desperate to not only survive but also unravel the enigma of your own identity.

A trailer for the demo was released that you can check out at the bottom of this post, which is accompanied by a description that says "Morgan Yu is about to have a very bad day". Thankfully, Arkane Studios and Bethesda made the game's first 30 minutes available to watch online to serve as an appetizer of what's to come.

Bethesda have announced that a one hour demo of Prey will be available on 27 April, ahead of its 5 May launch; but not on PC.

Unfortunately for you, aliens have overrun the Talos I and have hunted and killed everyone on board, with Morgan trying to stop them and getting out alive.

Weekly video releases, screenshots and behind-the-scenes development footage are all well and good when trying to promote a game. The demo will allow fans to board Talos I and play the opening hour before the worldwide launch of the game. If these creatures were to reach Earth, life as we know would end.

If you're eager to jump into Bethesda's reboot of Prey, you'll get a chance to check it out a little early. It is up to you now to unravel the mysteries of The Talos, fight the alien invasion and save mankind.
