Reliance Jio's new offer

Reliance Jio's new offer

If you are a Jio Prime member but did not recharge after that, you can now recharge for Rs.309 and get 84 days of validity and the option to use 1GB per day for that period.

After pulling up of Summer Suprise offer, Jio has come up with its new offer "Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan".

"In our view, such promotion on an offer held as non-compliant is a blatant violation and disregard of Trai's advisory, " Vodafone said in a letter to the regulator.

Jio also announced a Rs 509 all unlimited plan for daily high data users, offering unlimited SMS, calling and data (2GB per day at 4G speed) for three months on first recharge. The Rs 309 recharge essentially gives users 84 GB of data for the initial 3 months and then 28 GB per month.

The rumors become true, and Jio comes out with the new plans with same unlimited benefits.

This time, Airtel finally opened up on the issue drawing satires on the new schemes, the spokesperson from Airtel called this new JIO offer as "old wine in a new bottle". You can either do the recharge now to enroll or to directly take advantage of the plan, do the recharge of Rs. 309 + 99 = Rs. 408 recharge for the 1GB plan for 84 days, or Rs. 508 (Rs. 509 + 99) for 2GB per day for 84 days. According to Trai, Reliance Jio has a subscriber base has shot up to 72.16 million users.

Jio recently extended their Prime Membership last date and welcome offer in the name of Summer Surprise Offer, but TRAI asked them to withdraw that offer as it was against their rules.

In its complaint, Vodafone says Reliance Jio is sending SMS to consumers asking them to recharge quickly to get benefits of this offer.

Let us have a look at the "Summer Surprise" offer.

Reliance Jio, after a directive by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on April 6, has withdrawn its Summer Surprise offer. Jio website is currently showing these offers for Rs. 349 and Rs. 549, but the company is offering Rs. 40 off as of now.

The telecom watchdog though had allowed previous Happy New Year offer which the incumbent telcos allege to be an extension of the company's introductory Jio Welcome offer launched initially on September 5, 2016.

While the company made it clear that those who have already availed of its Summer Surprise offer, which now stands cancelled, customers will not be able to avail of this new offer and Dhan Dhana Dhan will be available on customers' first recharge only.
