Galaxy S8 Active is (unsurprisingly) heading to AT&T later this year

The Galaxy S8 smartphones are backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage with an option to expand the storage to up to 256GB using a microSD card. But the Infinity display of the real Galaxy S8 is simply unbelievable.

In just few weeks of the Galaxy S8 lineup pre-orders going live in the United States and South Korea, Samsung witnessed a "double digit growth" (at least 10 percent) over Galaxy S7's a year ago. The device will be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance as devices in the Active lineup usually do.

At the same time, it may be tough to predict what the Active version will be like this time.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 is a gorgeous phone that will soon be available in stores near you - you can preorder it right now and take advantage of some great deals in the process.

The leaked photo of the Galaxy Note 8 that surfaced on Slashleaks shows a large phone running Bixby, which is Samsung's own virtual assistant.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is now being built under the model number: SM-G892A codenamed Cruiser. According to Sammobile, the S8 Active bears the model number SM0G829A and is codenamed Cruiser. It's entirely possible Samsung will switch to a flat screen for the Active model, but that would make for a very different looking device. More ruggedness also means extra bulk, however, so don't expect the Galaxy S8 Active to look as sleek as the Galaxy S8.

Previous Active phones have had three physical front buttons, but that may not be the case this year since Samsung switched to on-screen controls. The active series isn't a common release and has typically been an AT&T exclusive.
