Splatoon 2 gets its own Horde mode, new amiibo, July release date

Nintendo has officially confirmed Splatoon 2 will release July 21, 2017 on Nintendo Switch.

While Project Mekuru is a tentative name, the game itself was shown off during the latest Nintendo Direct. The Nintendo Direct presentation will mainly be focusing on ARMS and Splatoon 2, confirms the message at Official Nintendo website.

The tech giant is also expected to release more info about other 3DS releases, though the focus will mainly be about the aforementioned games.

These questions and more will likely be addressed Wednesday, with Nintendo confirming the next Nintendo Direct update coming April 12 at 6 p.m. ET through the magic of the Nintendo of America Twitter account.

Nintendo expanded its public security flaw hunt to the Nintendo Switch yesterday, offering up compensation to anyone who finds and reports new vulnerabilities in the month-old console.

Along with Hey! Pikmin, and adorable new Pikmin amiibo featuring the tiny little characters will launch alongside the new game. Pikmin game during the September 2016 Nintendo Direct. Again, along with ARMS, its release date remains vague. Shifty and if you've not seen anything of it so far, its basically a sort of top-down heist game in the style of Hotline Miami.

Nintendo also clarified that that the upcoming broadcast will only focus on "Splatoon 2" and "ARMS".

If you are a Nintendo Switch fan, you'll definitely be counting the minutes to the start of Nintendo Direct Conference.

The first of the two new releases is Mr. Tinybuild's top-down action game is a self-proclaimed combination of Hotline Miami and Nightcrawler.

"From the makers of Fibbage, Drawful, and You Don't Know Jack, it's The Jackbox Party Pack 3!".

Hopefully, with another big game that can get a lot of use now available, the Switch can get more sales over the summer as well.
