Search underway for body of Abington woman

Police in Montgomery County's Abington Township said Monday that 45-year-old Krysten Laib's vehicle had been located.

"A search for her remains is now underway", police said Monday afternoon.

Abington police said they believe a 45-year-old nurse who was last heard from while driving for ride-sharing service Uber may have taken her own life.

Laib had been working as an Uber driver when she last spoke to family members. Police suspect Kysten Laib disappeared voluntarily and "was intent on harming herself", according to a statement issued by law enforcement. That's in Northeast Philadelphia, between Roosevelt Boulevard and Welsh Road, and police say "prior to her last contact with her mother on that date".

"No", Laib responded, saying she was still Ubering in Philadelphia. Police said that person was tracked down and had nothing to do with Laib's disappearance. Laid hasn't called her family or answered her cell phone.

She drives a 2003 Subaru Legacy, Olive Green in color, with Pennsylvania plate HJA-8582.

"Laib is described as 5'4" tall, weighing 135 lbs., with blue eyes and blonde hair.
