Sonu Nigam Takes Maulvi's Challenge, Shaves His Head

Many people have been offended by the singer's choice of words while criticizing the loudspeaker culture in India.

However, Nigam after his anti Azaan remark immediately clarified his statement saying his remark was not for any particular religion but he talked about the use of loudspeakers in mosques and temples both. The singer said he wanted to respond to the "fatwa" in the language of love. "I tweeted about them too, but people paid attention to the azaan tweet". She tweeted, "People will misunderstand your tweet n give it a communal tinge, only those who know you will know you mean not to stoke a fire".

Speaking to the press before his haircut, Sonu Nigam said, "Shaving hair is no challenge or negativity, it's a symbolic move - asking, what are you making this country? It is not part of a religion, going on from years". Both parties have been know for their violent reactions even causing vandalism and public thrashings of their targets. In a daring tweet, he claimed that he would apologise if anyone managed to prove that his tweet is anti-Muslim. But just a few minutes after the interaction started I realized that the early morning prayers over loudspeakers is pleasing to the ears listening to a news reporter ask questions.

His tweet read, "Dear everyone". "Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ".

Sonu said he did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments with his tweets but said, "I have a right to my opinion". I'm not cutting my hair against my will.

After receiving backlash following his posts about "forced religiousness", Sonu Nigam has found some support in Sunil Grover. "Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?"

In his concluding tweets, the famous singer said the act was nothing but gundagardi. "Why then.? Honest? True?", he said.
