TDSAT defers hearing on Jio free-offer case to May 3

If you do not use calls to communicate with your friends and family much, you can go with the base Rs. 244 plan. The reliance Jio succeeded to ramp its customer base by launching plans like the Welcome offer, Happy New year offer, and Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan. We narrowed down to the three of the best plans the telecom operator has to offer that face Jio head on. Before you start to wonder how this is possible as compared to the Rs. 399 plan, you must know the validity with this plan is limited to 28 days.

As new comer Jio, the telecom arm of conglomerate Reliance Industries, continues to offer aggressive tariffs under its "Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan" plans in a bid to attract more customers, top telecom player - Airtel - has launched data-oriented prepaid plans to match that of Jio's Rs 309 and Rs 509 offer.

Fine print: Airtel has a limitation on the free voice calling bit. You can make 300 minutes voice calls per day (1200 minutes in a week) on Airtel to Airtel.

Similarly, there are some other lower plans that Airtel is offering; details are as below.

Reliance Jio has rolled out its worldwide tariffs, including ISD rate cutter plans which offers global calling at as low as Rs 3 per minute.

Under this plan, the company is offering 2GB of 4G data per day for 28 days. It rolled out a new scheme which automatically activates roaming packs for users after exhaustion of said benefits under a plan, in case users forget to recharge before leaving India. Also, now there is no restriction with regard to the timing of data consumption. In this condition, if the data closes before June, then the speed will be lessened to 128 kbps and to get the fast data, again you have to recharge with a booster pack.

Fine print: When it comes to calls, users get 300 minutes of daily voice calling and 1,200 minutes for a week within the same network for free.

Under the Double Data offer, Jio users buying the new Samsung flagship smartphones can enjoy 448GB of 4G data for eight months. There is no limit on data usage timings. You'll be charged as per the standard rates on STD and local calls to other networks.
