Donald Glover says he's been writing new music since living in London

The Community alum's Atlanta co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield and Brian Tyree Henry have also stayed busy working on Deadpool 2, Get Out and NBC's This is Us respectively.

Howard became the new Han Solo director in June after Chris Miller and Phil Lord exited the project due to "creative differences over style and tone" between themselves and longtime Star Wars screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

"He just let me ramble on and on, and then finally I was like, 'So, what do you think?'" Glover says.

"At this point in time, I'm not exactly sure how I'm addressing you", Amfo began her interview, stating how she was aware of Glover's intention to retire the Childish Gambino name.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Clara Amfo show on Tuesday, Glover spoke about living in the United Kingdom for the past year and his final album as Childish Gambino. I'm not gonna make anything until it's ready.

In the story, Glover - who plays Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie - talks about meeting with Billy Dee Williams, the original Lando, for a top-secret torch-passing ceremony, orchestrated by Lucasfilm.

"But to be completely honest, it's nearly ready", Glover added. "You guys have been very instrumental in my music. Maybe he saw it from other planets and was like, 'I want to be that, '" Glover recalls, noting that Williams gave him some hilarious, succinct advice in response. "London has been very inspirational".

The actor said he doesn't know the full extent of what happened with the director switch, describing his role and the lack of control he has as being a "color in someone else's palette".
