Insider confirms Chelsea, Liverpool are interested in signing 23-year-old attacker

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is open to the idea of joining Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea this summer, with Antonio Conte ready to sanction a £35million bid for his services.

Arsenal are keen to keep him beyond his existing deal, but have left themselves exposed with regards to his contract.

The England global has been linked with both Liverpool and Chelsea this summer, the latter of whom are reportedly prepared to hand over £25m for his signature.

Former Southampton midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a potential switch to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

And according to recent reports by The Express, it is believed that the England global has rejected the new offer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his deal meaning he can leave for nothing at the end of the season. "He's also just got 12 months to go on his contract", Solhekol told Sky Sports News on Wednesday.

Arsenal are aware of Chelsea's interest and have rebuffed initial overtures.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to establish himself as a first choice starter for Arsene Wenger, with nearly half his league appearances coming as a substitute.

With Wenger still not quite convinced of his ability in midfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain has become a bit of a utility player for Arsenal, with the England worldwide impressing of late in a wing-back position, be that down the right or the left.

The Gunners have signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 in June.

The Gunners are also now facing the same dilemma with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, both of whom have also refused to commit their futures to the North London club amid interest from other clubs.
