Kings' Zach Randolph Reportedly Arrested For Marijuana Possession

After a small chase, three people wound up being arrested, with Randolph one of the three.

The incident began at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday at a house in the area of 112th Street and Zamora Avenue when a crowd formed who were drinking, smoking marijuana and blocking the roadway, Madison said.

"The charges are false and misleading", Randolph's agent and attorney Raymond Brothers told The Associated Press on Thursday.

The second individual in custody was identified as a 43-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

TMZ Sports reported that Randolph had a substantial amount of marijuana on him at the time of his arrest. In response, the police had to call for backup.

The arrest was one part of the disturbance that resulted in damage to several police vehicles, including five LAPD cars and a sheriff's vehicle, per Los Angeles' ABC-7.

Police recovered two guns, drugs, cash, and two vehicles were impounded. He was being held on $20,000 bail.

Randolph just signed a two-year contract with the Kings for $44 million.

Randolph, a two-time All-Star and a 16-year National Basketball Association veteran, accepted a transition to a sixth-man role last season and excelled.

Zach Randolph, who was recently acquired by the Sacramento Kings, was charged with intent to distribute marijuana.

During the last season, Randolph has maintained averages of 14.1 points, 1.7 to mention assistance and 8.2 rebounds per game.
