Heavy rain moves through Chickasha area Thursday

Sunday should start out with some sun mixing with clouds.

Periods of rain are in store for Saturday with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-80s.

DAY: Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers in the morning, then showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

A low around 68 Tuesday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

That system is expected to weaken Saturday, but not before the chance of another round of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and perhaps again in the early evening.

Sunday will be the driest day of the weekend with highs near 76. Those with outdoor activities should remain aware of changing weather conditions, especially toward the afternoon.

Another cold front will approach the area on Monday. A shower or two may develop early Thursday morning, but most will stay dry.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely.

Our stretch of clouds and rain will continue for the first half of next week.

Stronger storms will bring heavy rain, but widespread flooding problems are not expected.

Thunderstorms are possible today in the Kansas City area. We add a 2nd model to the mix tomorrow with more models by the middle part of next week. Highs in the 70s. At night, temperatures will bottom out in the 50s, great for sleeping!

Overnight tonight, we will have mostly cloudy skies become partly cloudy with temperatures falling to the mid 70s.

Going into the weekend, high temperatures will continue to be around 90 with continued chances of scattered storms. Shoreline towns will be somewhat cooler with the influence of the Sound, with temperatures in the lower 80s during the afternoons.
