Netflix Renews GLOW for a Second Season

Netflix has renewed the female-led wrestling series "GLOW", aka The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, for a second season.

Now, Netflix has confirmed that the comedy-drama, which was created by Orange Is The New Black's Jenji Kohan, will return for a second series. The show's official Twitter handle posted the news shortly after with a video, as you can see below. Brie stars as Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who auditions for GLOW as a last-ditch attempt to break into the industry. The cast also includes Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, Jackie Tohn, Britney Young, Kia Stevens, Gayle Rankin, Sunita Mani, Marianna Palka, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Kate Nash, Britt Baron, Marc Maron, Chris Lowell, Rich Sommer, and Bashir Salahuddin. GLOW, or Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling, was inspired by a female wrestling league and accompanying TV show of the same name from the late '80s.

In real life, G.L.O.W. shuttered in 1990 when it simply could not raise enough money to keep production going. "For now, GLOW is just a solid concept for what's to come".

Thier original shows and films are becoming extremely popular and one show that seemed to really win the hearts of viewers was GLOW.
