While there have been arguments regarding the data, yet it can not be ignored that Jio has managed to bring up the total average internet speeds in the country. With billions of rupees splurged into the telecom market, Jio has managed to maintain its data service at such low costs.

Airtel's Rs. 399 plan suits best for those who require 4G data and voice calls at best rates. The Jio 4g feature phone had started online bookings on 24 August.

The delivery of the most awaited Reliance Jio's "effectively free" 4G handset is being planned to start during the Navratri festival this year. These plans aggressively compete with Jio's Rs. 149, Rs. 349 and Rs. 399 plans. That changed when Reliance Jio entered the telecom sector and offered its users lifetime of free voice calls and text messages on its network.

Airtel has launched a new offer for all its customers. The Jio Happy New Year offer essentially extended all benefits of the Welcome Offer along with access to company's full bouquet of apps free till March 31, 2017. The pack also comes with free calling. the calling is not unlimited as this pack comes with weekly 1000 minutes calling free. Not just this, the voice tariff too on most plans have halved over the last few month.

According to the industry source, almost 10 million people have shown interest in JioPhone.

Reliance Jio extended the deadline to enroll into Jio Prime till April 15, and introduced a new Summer Surprise Offer as well.

Data traffic jumped 400% after Jio blew the competition open with free 4G data on its network. However, following a TRAI order, the company had to withdraw the Summer Surprise Offer, which was repackaged and launched as Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.

Bharti Airtel has become the first operator in India to break the 2GB-per-day cap under its daily data plans, offering up to 5GB per day under its various plans.

Adding to that, the Jio phone users will get an unlimited data at 153 rupees per month. Among the new data plans the country's biggest operator has launched recently are the Rs. 349 and Rs. 5 prepaid recharge packs.

The broadband subscribers base in India stands at 282 million as on June 30. In other words, Jio's speed has dropped by some numbers. Reliance Jio just received more demand even more than the expectation.
