Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures has introduced the second variant of the Yu Yureka. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of built-in storage.

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with night mode, beauty mode, multi-shots, and auto focus. Further, the phone is backed by a 3930mAh battery with Qualcomm 3.0 Quick charge support.

Of late, the online exclusive sub-brand has launched a few new smartphones and the YU Yureka 2 appears to be latest of the lot. The YU Yureka 2 will be available exclusively via Flipkart from September 20. Also keeping with current trends, the Yureka 2 comes with a sleek full metal unibody construction as well. Previously the company launched the Yu Yureka, Yureka Plus, Yureka Note, Yureka S and Yureka Black. Apart from the similar internals, it doesn't get more obvious that Yu is attempting to undercut Xiaomi and reign in their dominance with the Yu Yureka 2 priced cheaper than the Redmi Note 4 at Rs 11,999 (~$185). The top-end model of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is available for Rs 12,999. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. There is also a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera which unlocks the device.

Connectivity features of the phone are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE and Global Positioning System.

One of the major drawbacks of the YU Yureka is the fact that it still runs on Android Marshmallow.
