It does your team absolutely no good, and now coach Kevin Sumlin, already on the hot seat, will have to answer for it.

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M sophomore Tyrel Dodson was still getting adjusted to things when the Aggies played UCLA at the Rose Bowl earlier this month. He also remembers that Texas A&M had a hard time covering wide receiver Brandon Stokley, and that his then-University of Southwestern Louisiana team relied on its defense to pull off the biggest football win in school history.

"Brown is clearly serious and we're hearing the Texans are concerned they may have to blink first". "Moving forward I think it's going to help us down the road".

The Cajuns tied things once again at the 9:15 mark of the second quarter, when Jordan Davis hooked up with Ryheem Malone on an 8-yard touchdown pass, ending a 6-play, 37-yard drive, to knot things up, 14-14.

Those were among eight Aggie turnovers, four of them interceptions off quarterback Brandon Stewart.

Of all the quarterbacks on A&M's roster, the long, strong-armed Blumrick (6-5, 210) looks most like an National Football League prospect, but he's also probably a long way from being ready even for SEC play, considering his lack of game action in the past two years. "Until we get the right one, you have to be able to prepare for the known and adjust to the unknown". Running backs Trey Ragas and Elijah Mitchell have combined for 331 rushing yards, and quarterback Jordan Davis adds 108.

As one rival AFC general manager told PFW, "I really feel for [Texans GM] Rick Smith because we all know you never want to give in on veteran holdouts because of the frightful precedents it sets, but in this case he's risking a playoff run and the development of a young quarterback he paid dearly for if he doesn't come up with answers soon".

Heading into Saturday's game at Kyle Field, this year's Cajuns are also struggling to stop the running game, ranking next-to-last nationally.

The Aggies (1-1) are hoping Chavis' defense shows significant improvement this Saturday at home against Louisiana-Lafayette (1-1). The game kicks off at 11 am on the SEC Network.

"We've got to continue to develop both of them in my opinion, not just one guy", Sumlin said of his two QBs. "We knew our defense was playing well, but we knew it was going to be tough to score on them".

"Brandon had a rough night that night", Delhomme said, "and our playmakers were making plays".
