Woman abuses, slaps army personnel in south Delhi

Her vehicle has been seized by the police.For assaulting an unresisting soldier, the woman was skewered on social media.The soldier was quoted in some media reports as saying she "suddenly" stopped the auto, walked up and starting hitting him.

The incident took place on September 9, when an army subedar going towards Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station to drop off five of its colleagues in a truck. Later, Metropolitan Magistrate Lovleen granted bail to the accused Smriti Kalra after she was produced before the court.

According to media reports, the jawan had said that Kalra had "suddenly" stopped the auto and she started hitting him.

In his complaint, the army subedar alleged that the auto was being driven ahead of them by Kalra in a zig-zag manner. He claimed that despite them blowing the horn, she refused to give them way, the police said. But instead the woman allegedly held the collar of the jawan, abused him and slapped him.

She blamed him for being an Army personnel. He tried to ask her about their fault but she kept abusing them. Cops are claiming that she was unhappy with the driver of the army truck.

Summary: The soldier seems to be trying to reason with her while fending off the assault.Ms Kalra, who lives in Gurgaon, had stopped her Tata Indica vehicle in front of an army truck ferrying soldiers. However, the Army officer had asked his colleague to do a video recording of the incident.

A woman who was caught slapping an Army JCO on the streets of Delhi on September 9, has now issued an apology for her act.

When the truck driver walked up to the auto and tried to reason with Kalra, she apparently held him by the collar and slapped him.
